Mr Mumbles Shortlisted for Manchester Book Award

Wednesday, 25 August 2010 22:16

Invisible Fiends: Mr Mumbles has been shortlisted for the 2011 Manchester Book Award. The format of the award itself is changing this year, and there will be no overall winner announced. So, you might say that the book has won the Manchester Book Award, coming joint first with every other book on the shortlist.

All the books on the shortlist will be sent to schools and book groups around Manchester between September 2010 and March 2011, and heavily promoted by libraries across the city. Series author, Barry Hutchison, will be visiting two Manchester schools in January 2011 to talk about the book, the series, and how he became a writer.
